NGD with possibly the ugliest bass in the world

I remember seeing these when they first came out and I thought to myself, holy crap that's ugly. I saw the 4 string got discontinued but it always intrigued me what people saw in this body shape, as I see it appearing a lot from different manufacturers.

Well I saw it, 2nd hand at GC, went to pick it up and *BOOM* instant love. Neck profile is pretty much a Soundgear, but the body is unique and gives great sustain (though thats not what you want sometimes!). Smooth satin body just reverberates with every note and everything feels rock solid. The MK1s sound great (but may upgrade to the MK4s at some point) but I'm loving the versatility and the tone shaping of the preamp!

I actually really like it! There are much uglier basses than that.

I like everything about it except the top “horn”, that’s hideous. I love the preamp section, I have a few non sound gear Ibanez basses that have those.
