NGD: Yamaha EGV103C

I couldn't pass up the chance to get this Yamaha EGV103C for cheap. Very unique guitar shape. The action was horrible when I got it, but I fixed that. Now I'm planning to change out the pickups and electronics soon. I already have a DiMarzio Tone Zone S for the bridge and a DiMarzio Injector for the neck. I'll find a middle pickup and get it all put in soon.

Dig it. I'd put unique looking pickups like GFS Surf 90 or Gold Foil. Happy NGD!

Odd shaped guitar for sure, but I like things a little different. It plays great now and after swapping pickups and electronics will sound great.

Cheap ceramic single coils. The neck and middle aren't terrible, but the bridge pickup seems weak IMO.

I ordered a used Area 58 today to either put in the neck or middle with the Injector. I'll decide which will go where later once I get it all ready to install. This certainly won't sound the same when it's done.

Yeah it was a stupid question. The dimarzios will make that thing next level sexy.

Not a dumb question at all. The neck and middle pickups are ok, but I just can't deal with a thin, weak bridge pickup and I like the noiseless Area pickups also.
