:joke: looks cool 'cept for the headstock, i'd rock it if it were a more traditional electic.

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

Nathan Sheppard Guitars - now defunct, I think.

I first played this guitar something like 5 years ago and liked it; a year or two later I ordered something inspired by it but it went sour - he's a decent luthier but sucks at basic business sense and customer service. A friend acquired this from the original owner and was looking to trade for something interesting but conventional. I had the CS336 but hadn't really bonded with it, so it seemed a good deal for everyone.

Just had a play through my normal rig and it's very nice - I'll need to tweak the trimpots inside as it could do with a hair more output and a bit more bass.

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

That looks very well built (by what the pics show). I think it is a cool idea. And I bet it has something to offer that the thousands of guitar designs out there could never do.

Congrats!

Congrats!

Looks like some nice wood of a few different species....do you know what they are?

Looks heavy!

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

That is a great looking piece of wood. Good luck with it!

Any chance of some sound clips?

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

I will reserve judgment about whether I'll like it or not until I had a chance to hear/play it.

So far however I don't see sth that'd make it NOT like it :)

Congrats man and happy NGD!

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

I, I don't... I just can't...help me, Spork --- what I'm trying to say is...

I just don't know how...the ---- I

I'll have to try again to morrow

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

Looks to me like you could beat the **** out of a horde of zombies with it...

That is really cool.

Ta. The build quality is very good in general. Lots of lovely little design touches too like the pinstriping between body core and caps (also done on the headstock).

Congrats!

IIRC:

Thru-neck - mahogany, maple & walnut laminate, cocobolo fingerboard.
Body wings - mahogany
Pinstripes - maple
Caps - walnut
Bridge - cocobolo
Knobs - ebony

It's surprisingly cohesive for all those different woods.

That is a great looking piece of wood. Good luck with it!

Quite possibly at some point. It sounds much like any piezo loaded nylon strung guitar to be honest!

I'd play one loaded with Duncans.

It'd be very quiet that way...

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

Looks top drawer to me, I like it. I'm sure it must be a great guitar as you traded quite a desirable guitar for it. Very nice... enjoy.

I never really "bonded" with the 336 - it played nicely and sounded good, but it was just too badly put together.

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

I remember Nathan Sheppard guitars from a few years back. I think I may still have a flyer from Music Live from about 98/99. Some cool guitars, but the headstock takes some getting used to! Funnily enough, it looks better now than it did then! :)

Re: NGD - you may not like this...

not my style, but looks very nicely made and Ill bet a great player! how does it sound??
Definately unique
