Last one for a while.

A few years back I sold a number of my Jacksons to finance the BC Riches I had yet to acquire under the belief I would be able to replace them quite easily. When time and money allowed I would snap em up. I'm pretty lucky to be able to have accomplished this and the last one was purchased last weekend in a last minute snag and chance finding due to how the seller listed it. Decent price as well

It's a 2006 USA Jackson SL2H in transblack. There were a number of things I was happy with but bought it anyway knowing I would change it. It came with EMGs which I didn't want. Also the previous owner replaced the chrome rings with black plastic ones and also changed the chrome knobs with black ones. Bleh. I usually change the pickups anyway and the rings weren't a big deal to replace. Luckily he threw in the old chrome knobs so I didn't have to buy them.

The pain was rewiring the entire thing as with EMGs installed I had to rip out the existing electronics. I just finished rewiring and installing the new pickups. Haven't cleaned it up nice nice yet or changed the strings because I'm all out of thinkin' for the night.

Yessir. I dig the Distortion. All my guitars have Distortion in the bridge and Jazz in the neck.

It does. The KV2 on the right is also transblack. The finish is a bit darker though.

That's my OCD at hand. ;) If it didn't look pretty and wasn't well organized I couldn't sleep at night.

Beautiful, man!! Congratulations!!

I won't be doing your OCD any favors with this but, wouldn't the Kelly in the middle look a lot better with black rings instead of chrome? It would blend in better I think.
What an awesome collection man. Be happy with it.

I'll have any of the RRs, in case you feel generous haha. :D

Wow, awesome guitar and an even more awesome collection. I think you should just send me either of the 2 biatches on the front or the charcoal/ black burst Jacksons.

I must be weird because I see a lot of people do that and it drives me nuts. I think I associate the black hardware Jackson uses on their lower lines of guitars with trans finishes. The black hardware on trans finishes just looks cheap to me. If you look at the first pic of the SL2H, the rings and knobs were black. I changed that **** right quick. Much better now.

I've looked at some of the Phil Collen guitars. They're bolt on. that's a no no. LOL

Ditto this meant in a positive way of course. amazing!! I love the chrome rings and knobs better! It ties in better with the trem. This is pretty much my dream jackson.. Why do they use such a huge toggle knob? Charvel does to..
Dist and Jazz go good together?
