Here are a few pics of my New les paul. Ive bought more then a few brand spanking new guitars but ive always for the most part been sweet on gibson explorers and have bought 2 used but I never really been able to afford a gibson les paul. Well for the last year or so ive been fiending for a so called real les paul. Ive owned a few epi's and a couple of ltds ec 1000's but i wanted the real deal mahogany & maple capped thick bodied tone without a funny looking headstock. Fast forward I saved my pennies and hustled a few dollars here and there and after some serious searching ended up bringing this pretty lady home to stay. Out of about 8 les pauls I kept coming back to this one because not only did she blow the others away in tone and pure playability but features and price point made it a no brainer. She's a 2011 gibson les paul studio deluxe 50's model in nitro iced tea. Accoring to gibson website specs include a fat round fifties neck which I prefer and traditional weight relief instead of a chambered body. Not that chambered is a bad thing but I think all the les paul tones we know and love didnt come from no stinking chambered SOLID BODY LES PAULS! Anyways minus binding she sounded better then the standards i played and was about $600 bucks cheaper. Electronics dont matter cause i bought a set of ants to try out and a seth bridge in case the ant bridge is too polite. I also have chest full of pots and different caps to uprade her with since I will be starting a recording project soon and want her to have all the bells and whistles. It will also be a lil while before i will get the luxury of buying a axe like this and tricking it out and the whole nine yards so im am trying to make the most of it. Sorry about all the yapping and the crappy cell phone pics as they dont do the guitar any justice.:naughty::thanks:
