I've been after something a little more 'Gibson' to go alongside my G&L Legacy and my homebuilt Tele. Last weekend I found this little beauty for a price I couldn't refuse.

It's a Fret-King Esprit 5...

3-piece mahogany body, 1-piece mahogany neck, Wilkinson humbuckers, bridge and tailpiece, Grover tuners. It actually looks a little darker than my phone pics.
Looking forward to playing something different...

Not sure yet. I'm gonna give them a blast and see how they do. They've got an 'aged' look about them that looks cool and really suits.

it looks like a non-reverse firebird met a reverse firebird and had some wild freaky jungle sex, and that's what popped out 9 months later.

Also, from the looks of that lower horn, it looks like a Jazzmaster might've been involved.
