ok, to make a long story short, it hailed like nuts here a couple months ago, and I git me some liberal payments form insurance , and I figured I get guitars instead than get my cars fixed, so I got me a Warmoth Koa Strat, a couple of projects necks, and a Warmoth Mahogany tele project , and a new guitar. What do you think it is , the new guitar?...a Rickenbacker maybe, Ibanez ?

It already haz sum teeth marks in it, cuz it lookd so real, I HAD to take a taste!

wait, I guess since it is a Gibson box you probably realized its a Gibson. I hadn't thought of that. OK, WHAT Gibson..hint, it was the SFDOTD. It has 'F' holes. I got it for 799, but now its back up to 1400.00. It has a Vibrola which I hate, but hey, for 800, I can deal with it.

OK, its late, I just finished a cheap bottle of awful red wine, an 8 pack and a few shots (not that I do this everyday no more), so I'll be sleeping one off till late afternoon, so it'll be fun to get up and read the replys! The fretboard, while not plastic thank heaven , is really really light Rosewood, which I hate, but maybe it will darken when its oiled?;

I'm a pinstripe fan, so I dig it.

Unfortunately, that Rosewood board is so light it would drive me crazy. I'd be staining that a LOT darker, if it was me. Fingerboard oil won't darken it much on its own.

Yeah, perhaps. I think they were just trying to distance it from any Nighthawk prejudice, since the Nighthawk wasn't the most successful innovation/change in the Gibson line. But if you look at the product line, this "Designer N-225" is the body outline of a Nighthawk, modified with double cutaways, and the same hum/p90 recipe, just semi-hollow and beefed up with a Dirty Fingers.

Nice guitar though. I've been jonesing for an all natural/black hardward one since they came out. Couldn't justify it, even at the sale price, unfortunately.
