I ran to the post office today.

As I got my things and was leaving, I noticed a little old lady with a walking cane coming to the front door. So I hustled and opened the door for her.
She looked up at me, said "thank you" then she looks down at my waist and says, "you got a nice big package!"

Completely flabbergasted, I snapped back "how did you know?"

She smiled awkwardly at me and then I suddenly realized she was probably talking about the new guitar day I was carrying out!

Nice Dean guitar you have and very Metal looking. I like V guitars very much...I have a black Jackson King V and find the upper fret access unsurpassed. Congrats on your purchase.

Tweaked with the wiring a bit, scrubbed the board clean, lem-oil for it, adjusted bridge, adjusted truss rod a 1/4 turn, ended up sanding 2nd fret a touch to lose 1st fret buzz, new strings, 2 strings needed intonated... Installed straplocks.
Ready to rock!
Really liking the weight and the feel of the neck. It's a tad softer than Dean typical C shape.
Haven't fallen in love with this tyrant pickup yet, we'll see if it grows on me or not, might get an alt8 or SH6

Tyrant is bright and very articulate... Not quite as much seething thickness as I was hoping for.
It does a great job at being compressed and sounding aggressive.
I'll probably swap it for a DD before too long.
It does look like it belongs there.
