No "clunk" in output jack

Re: No "clunk" in output jack

Thanks for all the help, I feel like a real dimbo now ahah, I'll try and fix it. If it doesent work does anyone have any recommendations?

We've all done stupid things before we knew better. It's part of the learning process. Good news is your mistake might cost you a whole $5.00

Re: No "clunk" in output jack

Re: No "clunk" in output jack

I've got this one working but I feel it may only be temporary, apparently this jack is a switchcraft but where can I buy a proper one if it goes? Thanks for all the help it's been amazing

Re: No "clunk" in output jack

Any music store should have them, otherwise, check Amazon, Reverb, Ebay or any guitar parts supplier. They are really common, and while your at it, buy 2 so you can keep one in your parts box.

Re: No "clunk" in output jack

Are you using a straight or angled cable plug? Sometimes an angled plug just will not stay in when using one of those Fender "boat" type jacks

Re: No "clunk" in output jack

That is one of those cheap crap Asian jacks. Get an American made Switchcraft (like the one in Strat) and be done with it.

Do they make parts in asia? I thought Switchcraft parts are all made in america?
