No creme pickups?

Re: No creme pickups?

I think a lot of people don't like double cream because it's become associated with 80's hair metal pickups, due to the trademark. If it weren't for the trademark, it would be common place and people would like it just fine.

Re: No creme pickups?

This is the guitar Jeff was holding that night at the Grande Ballroom in '67. In fact, I think this photograph comes from that gig.

I'll tell you: that was an incredible night of music and that guitar is why I like double creams so much.

Axesrus do double cream. They do some pretty good pickups too. They will even make you a custom one for not silly money, less than buying a Duncan or DiMarzio off the shelf. They are in the UK.

Also Schaller sell their golden 50s in cream. They are extremely similar to Duncan 59s.

Re: No creme pickups?

There's an easy interior decorator joke hidden here somewhere. If I ever wake up and can tell the difference between any of those colors I'll be changing professions.

Re: No creme pickups?

I personally couldn't care less if you paid me.

However, I added mine to the petitions to help having the unfair trademark revoked.
