No, no, no, no. YouTube videos should only be a guideline. It won't sound the same...

dominus

King Midas to Cheap Guitars
... except when it does. Got one of these pedals:

and holy hell does it sound EXACTLY like that. Death metal in a pedal.

Now I need to go through my other pedals and clear some out. :banghead:

I've got one of their compressors - nice piece of kit.

Sorry, but it sounds like a chain saw with a bad carb. to my ear. JMO

Makes my metal muff seem like an overdrive, and that's fookin awesome. I'd have no real use for it, but I still want one.

Re: No, no, no, no. YouTube videos should only be a guideline. It won't sound the sam

oddly enough, I like listening to that kinda sound but not using it myself.

I actually have to agree with you on this one.
The early Pantera sound was (to my ears) extremely jagged . . . kinda like this.

I liked the tone dialled in just after the 1:00 min mark...sounded sick !

Also..I prefer it when video's sound like this w/o all the extra tracking, backing tracks, editing, fx & stuff. I've learnt never to buy a pedal or amp unless I come across a stripped down, basic demo like this ..otherwise, in my experience ...good luck trying to make your new pedal/amp sound anything like it did in the demo ;)

HAhahahaha . . . i hear what you mean !

Made me LOL . . . for real !

So weird, with a signature like this:

SirJackdeFuzz's sig said:
Tele & SG into FUZZ boxes into an AB165 Bassman into a 4X12 (+ Marshall Class 5)

and you don't like the sound of a death metal pedal? I'm lost. Maybe I'll go into threads where people are talking about gear I'd never use and start posting my opinions.

I like the Metal Muff, but it does run out of steam, even pushed with an overdrive. This thing sounds so heavy but still retains clarity, it's amazing. It's also smaller than I expected, it's only 3.5" x 4.5".

If there had been a hint of "Death Metal" in the thread's title, probably those who dislike it wouldn't have even opened it. BUT, as it was, it 'invited' everyone to read/comment.

It does say "death metal in a pedal" right below the video.

So true . . .

To my ears these fuzz tones are musical.

To me, that's 70s sounding lo-fi stuff. I like Black Sabbath, but I don't try to sound like them.

Again, under the video, it said clearly "Death metal in a pedal". If you neglected to read that, oh well.

Thread is now a shoving match between fuzz pedals.

Re: No, no, no, no. YouTube videos should only be a guideline. It won't sound the sam

I can hear that the pedal is probably very good, but in that demo, i can hear his strings rattling. Maybe he used his camcorder mic? Anyways, I'm glad you are stoked with your new pedal. Hopefully you can make a better demo for us in the peanut gallery to listen to.

AFTER one has opened the thread. Entrapment and forced to listen to Death Metal against our wishes. :) :) :) Lighten up friend. Don't you recognize an age gap when you 'see' one?

You just described a near perfect old school Florida/stockholm death metal guitar tone
