No Sound: New P Bass Pickup Install

Replacement set arrived today and immediately popped up a reading on the multi out of the pack. I notice that in the last set I received the pickups were not wired together in the pack and there was no sticker on the back with the details like this one has.
Guess someone retuned it before and it was resold as new.

You do have the volume knob up don't you?


Plug in your guitar cable

Test with the meter on 20K ohms
Tip of the cable jack to the sleeve of the cable jack

What does it read?
Open or shorted? Should read pickup
Check volume knob up full

Now check tip of cable jack to back of volume pot
tests cable and Jack ground

Sleeve of cable jack to volume pot either pickup lug or outpu jack lug
checks jack and cable hot

Now pickup lug to output lug
checks pot

Now pickup lug to back of pot
checks pickups

Tell us what your results are

That should be the entrie circuit

Just a sanity check you didn't use a soildering gun did you? They can demagnatize the pickup.

not soldered is a huge issue. did you get this one wired in? sound good?!?
