Wiring help p bass/diagnosis?

Hello all!
I bought a pre-wired harness for my my inexpensive pbass. The issue that I'm having is I'm getting a buzzing from the amplifier and I'm not sure if it's the bass itself or it's in the amp. I've had this issue for about a week now. I tried changing the parts and I think I torched the first set of pots. But now with this brand new pre-wired harness I am still getting the same buzz. Ground wire to bridge has continuity. Sorry about the mess of wire. That's how long it was pre wired. I just soldered in the volume pot to tone as ground and the pickups. Thanks for all your help!

Before we start with the wiring...have you tried another cable to the amp? Have you tried the amp into a different AC outlet?

1) Check the amp with another instrument, and eliminate it as a possible source of the issue.

2) That solder job on the volume pot looks pretty ugly. Can you maybe relax and reset it?

3) Try soldering the ground direct to volume pot?

Circling back, I finally got it working tonight. Turns out that the pickup connection on the back of the pickup became unsoldered. How, I have no idea. Swapped out with the old ones I have, works fine now
