80's Fender Rivera era Super 60 rackmount Tube Amp. 250.00 off craigslist. Mad cause I could have got it a bit cheaper. Got her in my greedy hot little hands already. 100% made in the USA.
It does that modern crisp sparkly (silverface style) thing to a T. Has 2 new JJ 6L6's. 60 watts of pristine Fender Clean. :1: I hope it will do the Silverface Super Reverb sound through a 4x10, and I don't see why it wouldn't. Now I gotta get a rack case for it. In my tone ballpark, I just found my leftfielder!

For the sake of accuracy, it's not one of the Rivera era amps. The red knob stuff was designed by Bill Hughes and Mark Wentling, after Rivera had left Fender as their marketing director. The Rivera era amps were all blackface, including the Deluxe Reverb II, Twin Reverb II, Princeton Reverb II, Concert, Champ II and Super Champ. Having said that, Rivera wasn't solely responsible for the hands on design of those amps, but more the overseer of the 5 year game plan. Wentling did most of the hands on design. Either way, the red knob series were after Rivera had left Fender, and therefore after the last of the point to point stuff from Fullerton.

wah wah got in ahead of me....rivera fenders are all PTP. If anyone else has that tidbit of information, please do not spread it around, cos the rivera fenders are amazing amps. Solid cabs, ptp circuits and lush fender tone for weeks. Lets keep it a secret shall we so they stay flying under the ebay radar?

WahWah and Gibson are 100% correct, The Rivera era stuff kick's ass. I own a 1982 Super Champ,(bought new in 82' ) it's my secert wepon for recording, nice cleans and great overdrive. Sining leads.

If any forum bros. are looking for one of those Super 60 rack mount amps, there was one listed on Craig'sList today in San Antonio, Texas, for $250 also.
The seller was asking $325 a couple days ago FYI.


That's not the one you bought Metalmanic is it ?

I would have picked it up, but didn't have the cash today.
