Every time I tap my amp's chassis, plug into the amp, or unplug my guitar cable the sound is amplified. How do I fix this? Thanks

Troll of the day goes to...
I tried tapping all the tubes, and each one is just as loud as the other. Replaced them with known good tubes. Same thing. Is this a tube amp? What make/model?
If so, it's probably a microphonic tube, most likely (but not necessarily in the V1 position. With the amp turned on at normal volume, tap on each tube lightly (Chinese take-out chopsticks are the amp-tech approved tapping tool) to see which makes the biggest noise. Replace that tube.
It may be a cold solder joint on your new jacks or your cable. Reflow those points and you should remedy the situation if that's it.
What problem do you have with me and/or my posts, Kramersteen?
