This song isn't as happy sounding as my other ones. I used clean notch positions 2 & 4 for the backup and bridge alone for the leads. The pups are still stock, I just wanted to experiment with it's more vintage style tones! :13: Enjoy!

Re: "Nomad" -Another SX Strat Tune!

great tune again.

i actually have a complaint this time, lol. make it longer! this tune wanted more! it had a premature end, where the song kept yelling more more more!

Re: "Nomad" -Another SX Strat Tune!

Thanks, Stevo and Xerxes!!! :13:

I'm getting A LOT more used to styling tones on my Digitech, so I can hone my tone better.

Xerxes, that is a truly powerful compliment!:crying: And because of it, I WILL make a longer version as soon as my Strat is completely hotrodded. :13:

Thanks again for the compliments :burnout:

Biu, you have what so many musicians lack - the ability to write good songs.

Killer tune, man!

Re: "Nomad" -Another SX Strat Tune!

listening to it as we speak...

sounds good, you are definitely a very tlented musician!

KEEP ON A ROCKIN!

Re: "Nomad" -Another SX Strat Tune!

thats awesome - especially the clean bit at the start, but watch the levels as the first distortion bit comes in - its kinda unclear

as for songwritin ability - u rock!

Re: "Nomad" -Another SX Strat Tune!

I'll be putting in a DiMarzio Fast Track 2 in the bridge, DiMarzio HS-2 in middle, and DiMarzio Stacked Humbucker in neck. Though, now I'm beginning to reconsider because the typical "Strat tone" is very cool for what it is. I'll wire them all with a push/pull pot to see if I can get the best of humbucker/single-coil sounds first.

Thanks again for the critique, guys!

Re: "Nomad" -Another SX Strat Tune!

you have a good ear, and knack for melody, something I lack. It's really not how fast you can play or how complicated, it's the arrangement, and you seem to do that really well.
