Non bridge mounted Tele bridge PU

How different would a Tele bridge PU sound when not mounted to the bridge? I plan on making a San Dimas like Tele but with the Tele single coil in the bridge still.

And if anyone knows where I can get a Tele pickup ring adapter like this but in chrome please let me now.

Looks like something Rossi or Parfitt of Status Quo would use.

Tom Anderson Guitars sometimes use a hardtail Strat type bridge then screw the T Lead pickup directly into the body wood.

Well I've seen the Tele adapters for humbuckers before but I cant find any through a general search. It'd be awesome to get a Tele one. Ive found some but none that are chrome. It would be perfect to keep the look uniform and I plan on using a Floyd Rose btw. Tele and a Floyd? Sounds awesome to me haha.
