NOOB pickup question.

OK, I just got an EC400AT (archtop). I love it, it's awesome. My question is what do the screws in the pickups do--pole adjustments?? It has a JB/59, chrome covered with the 6 screws in them.

Yes, if there are screws them that you could turn with screwdriver then you can adjust the poles.

those are adjustable pole pieces, used for balancing string to string volume. raising a pole piece will increase the volume of that string
