As I had a difficult last 6 months due to "character building life experiences" which resulted in my selling all of my gear...I have regained my desire to play guitar again but wasn't really feeling any excitement in the E.E. Pro I Project so I am selling the parts and acquired a minty clean 2001 or 2002 LTD KH-503 (Maple Neck Thru/Alder Body Wings, although the serial number dates it as a 2005 which had Maple Neck Thru/Maple Body Wings - thing weighs almost as much as my '82 LP did) for $275.00 w/HSC which is currently at the repair tech's getting upgrades from my parts bin: DiMarzio Super Distortion Neck/Tone Zone F Bridge and a real 1986 Made In Germany OFR w/Old School Screw In Arm and Real R2 Nut...and I am taking a look at a Peavey 5150 2x12 Combo tonight...it's just not the same not having a tube amp to play through.



Additionally, I pulled my kids' Ibanez Gunslinger 550 and Squier Venus out of storage so they can be enjoyed as well.

1991 Ibanez RG550R Neck/1991 B.C. Rich USA Assassin Body with DiMarzio Virtual Vintage '54 Neck/DiMarzio PAF Pro F Bridge and 1986 Ibanez Original Edge and Hardware in "White Gold".



1998 Squier Venus - really like it for an inexpensive unusual guitar, plus, it's got a GREAT feeling and playing Neck. It's got a Seymour Duncan APS-1 Neck/Pearly Gates Trembucker Set in it and set up with .12-.52 Strings. I'm in the "love it" category. Great Bang for the Buck acquisition.

That Squire IS unusual, never seen that one before. Very cool with the different body shape and the TOM bridge and neck binding. Has a kind of resemblance to the Wilshire. I like it.

What does the mini toggle do?

Thanks for the kind words on the Venus. Really an underrated/undervalued guitar and probably due to the Courtney Love association but it is a very cool and unique guitar that is very comfortable to play and has a GREAT Neck. Check out Mercury Guitars and you will see where the body shape was taken.

Yeah...have to work w/that as I will probably put a DiMarzio Clip Lock Strap on it w/the Eye Hooks screwed through the hole for the metal grommets...otherwise I will visit Home Depot and pick up a couple of locking carbiners.

Yeah Baby! Just arrived and it does not disappoint. :arms: Arrived in tune and the neck feels/plays quite nicely at first blush. Actual color is darker than I thought but it is brillant and looks great. Looking forward to getting it home this evening, putting on some new strings and playing it.

Woo Hoo!!! LTD KH-503 absolutely RIPS with the DIMARZIOS and Big Brass Blocked OFR!!! Venus has "Classic" covered with the SD APS-1/Pearly Gates Trembucker and change to .12-.52 Strings. Of course the Blue 5150 plays great and sound like it was designed to...just need a decent combo tube amp and I will be back in business!!! :toast

Trade underway for a SD H/S/H Pickup Set and then The Fugly Duckling should be ready for assembly and set up...
