Hey guys,
I was motivated by Mr. Another Black Season to re-do "Something To Think About".
The acoustic guitar has been re-tracked (this time I finally figured out the bpm for the song and tracked it to a click track) and re-did the vocals with some more "oomph". I usually hold back with the vocals, but decided to push them and hope I stayed mostly in tune. The results kinda speak for themselves. And best of all, no sh1tty Auto-Tune. All amateur me
Thanks for y'all that commented on the first take and I think some of you guys are going to dig this one a lot more. I'm a lot more proud of this one than I was the first. I'm sure there's a lot more I can do to it (stuff like EQing, doing a non direct track of my Ovation 1771LX for more body, heavy compression, etc.), but at least it's starting to sound pretty good to these ears.
Recorded through Logic Pro at 48khz. Vocal mic is a Lawson MP47 Mk II (love that sound). Preamp used is an API 3124+ and the conversion is thanks to an Apogee Ensemble. My acoustic was recorded direct in.
Let me know what you guys think
I can't believe how many hours I've spent on this one today :eyecrazy:
