NPAD - Katana 50 MkII

Wattage

High Voltologist
I got rid of my Code 25 and a few other little things kicking around here and picked up a nice, shiny new Katana 50 practice amp

Mostly for my personal practice but I imagine it could handle small gigs/rehearsal pretty well. The software and direct recording options seem cool and easy to work with. I've got a few tones dialed in quickly that are really good at room volume, I imagine I'll get a ton of use out of this thing.

I can see why they are so popular, all these new modelling amps are pretty damn good especially for home use. I just think back to my old SS Premier and Gorilla practice amps and laugh.

Congrats on the new Katana, Ive looked at them a couple times and have almost pulled the trigger. Now they have it in white, which I kinda like even better than the black.

Awesome. Good purchase.
I have the 100 head. I like it, very good value.
Now call it what you will but I think you should get used to it and then gig with it, you may find it more than a practice amp.

I could see myself using it for a small gig but I've got the gigging side of things pretty well handled. I'd like to open it up and see how it sounds so I might bring it to a rehearsal and I'll probably using for scratch tracks when I am recording with my drummer.

Basically you plug in USB cable to it, set up your effects chains in the software, and it saves it on the amp, then you unplug it and rock out.
it's a little cumbersome at first, but once you get the tones you like all set up, it's just a great amp.
They can be loud as heck too!

congrats!

Cool did not know that was available, sorry Little Pig

All I need is something with Android now, a little more portable anyways
