I decided I needed a wah. So I got one.
RMC Wah. Good ****. And yes, I am very bad with a camera.
RMC6 - the "Wheels of Fire" wah. It's got three knobs - external volume control, a Q control for tuning the sweep, and a low end response control so I can beef up the wah tone for more Cantrell-esque wahs and back it off for more 70's type wah sounds.
Pretty Pretty Red
Nice build quality, if I say so myself.
My pedalboard as it is now. I forsee some changes in the not so distant future. I'm really not using either the Pharoah or the Diamond Trem. The Pharaoh is made redundant by the Tri/Ram, and doesn't sound nearly as good in my rig, and I found I just don't use trem as much as I'd like. So they're going up on the chopping block.
The wah - I love this thing. First of all, it's important to note that this pedal, as do all RMC wahs made 2006 or later, have a buffer built in specifically to let you use it with a fuzz pedal like a fuzz face. I've had issues in the past with every other wah I've used having a sweep that just doesn't work in my rig when distortion pedals are on. I was using a new Fulltone wah a few weeks ago with the built in switchable buffer and I figured out that my rig needs a buffered wah to be able to use a wah. And the buffer sounds great - my tone hasn't sounded this good in a while.
The wah itself is wonderful. There's plenty of variance to be had between tweaking the low knob and the Q knob. I gigged it last night and used it on a few songs - Pantera's "Goddamn Electric," "Man in the Box" and even "The Ocean" and it preformed wonderfully. I've never loved a wah as much as this one.
