I've heard a lot about these, what makes these so special? I want to know coz i'm sort of in the market for a noise gate/suppresor, but I also want a bit more gain as well :\
Anyone know of a good combined noise gate and overdrive/distortion?

Been a long time since I used one, but the ISP stuff has been hyped to have a more natural release/gating effect than the other noise suppressors on the market. Still seemed a bit bothersome to me, but that was the nature of my issues not the product - it did its job.
I've since found a couple of solutions since I purchased my ISP gate. My issues were extreme in that an EMG based rig would hum like a swarm of bees. Now I can use a unshielded EJ strat in my usual area without a lot of noise - even with overdrive.
