NPD: Dano Pepperoni Any Phase 90 Owners Please Chime In

Not exactly a "New Pedal Day" but about a month ago I bought a used Danelectro Pepperoni Phaser on a whim at my local shop for $15. Just got around to trying it out and so far it's exceeded my expectations. Never owned a real MXR Phase 90 so I can't compare it directly but to my ears it seems to cop it's sound fairly well. Got it as a goof to get some more vintage Eddie sounds and for the price I was way more than pleased than I thought I'd be.

Just curious if any of you Phase 90 owners have tried one and would it really be worth the extra $$ to get a real deal MXR?

Did I mention it came "pre equipped" with velcro?

MXR - built like tanks, and my go-to brand for stomp boxes that can actually be stomped. I'm pretty happy since I added a Phase 90 to the string, but I have not tried the Dano stuff, so WTF do I know...?

My current board is: Xotic EP Booster --> MXR Classic OD --> Phase 90 --> Carbon Copy --> MXR Analog Chorus. I just picked up a Ditto Looper that will likely sit in front of the Chorus, and I usually drop another OD/Fuzz in the chain ahead of the P90 for sh**s-n-giggles.

Nice line up of pedals! I've been drooling over the Carbon Copy since I first heard one.

I'm not very concerned with the switch quality of the pedal as a phaser is something I only use occasionally. Wouldn't want a booster or dist type pedal with this type of switch though.

You're so right on build quality. Absolutely no comparison. More curious if anyone has tried both and if there was enough tonal difference to justify the extra expense of the MXR.

Now I can't get my mind off of the Carbon Copy.....
