NPD - Dunlop Crybaby 535Q

Friday I got a second hand 535Q I found on eBay. As my VOX wah has seen better days and is not fully working right now I decided I needed a new wah. I would have loved a wilson or area 51 wah but price was a bit of a factor and they don't show up alot on the 2nd hand market here in oz. After seeing so many recommendation on here I found a used 535Q.

Today I played it briefly for the first time, to my dismay the foot switch was acting up cutting the signal in and out when in bypass (working fine for the most part when active), I contacted the seller and we came to an agreement, suffice to say with a partial refund I am keeping the pedal and will try to fix the footswitch.
First Impressions - On the wah side of the scale it sounds pretty alright I only played through GR5 so through a real amp it may differ. I expected the 6 way selector and q controls to by a bit more extreme the former doesn't really go to super scratchy highs or deep deep lows (again could be different in front of an amp) and the q kinda goes from not doing anything to wah it but expected a more extreme side (I think I will keep it almost all the way up). It doesn't seem to have that funkyness and sharpness of my VOX V847 but sounds nicer on leads and has a smoother feel for swells and dreamy chord passages. Maybe if I fix up my VOX I will do a side by side comparison.

Overall worth the money (if I can fix the footswitch) but I am sure more of the boutique wahs sound better. I am wondering if I should put my Whipple Inductor in there and see what change that makes.
