NPD/ eq pedal help

I got a new eq pedal today. DOD fx40b. It's a reall great pedal. The issue I'm having though is running it through my tiny terror and I guess I'm hitting the front end pretty hard and I'm having a hard time getting a big solo boost. I'm sure it's mostly just my settings but I didn't have a ton of time at practice tonight to play with it.

Can you guys help me out with suggested settings to try? It's a 7 band eq with separate level slider. Any help is appreciated.

Re: NPD/ eq pedal help

set it flat line level low

ease level up till it matches the line/bypassed signal

then punch up the Mid frequencies in a ^ pattern

then your leads will have a mid boost that will stand out without changing your overall sound

or so I am told

Re: NPD/ eq pedal help

What ehdwuld said & also try it through the TT's fx loop. You won't be pushing the front end of the amp and the loop buffer will help with the obnoxious hiss that goes along with GEQ's.

Re: NPD/ eq pedal help

Needs to go in an an effects loop to boost the volume if the amp is already fairly saturated, otherwise all you're doing is just making it even more saturated putting in the front.

Re: NPD/ eq pedal help

Sorry, forgot the tiny terror doesn't have a loop. Was thinking about the dark terror. It does.
