NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

Hey, John, do you feel what I'm talking about with the switch? I don't usually wear shoes in the house, because my wife likes to keep it clean, so when I step on it, I notice it. Have you come across this as well?

Oh, and please stop posting pictures of your Flashback. I can't afford one, and I don't think I could explain the addition of a third delay to my board. Hope you like it.

The switch totally sucks! It's intermittent as hell on mine and I'd like to replace it! I'll be sure to post many more photos of the Flashback....Lol...

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

I think the volume pedal is one of the most underappreciated effects of all time I don't know many players that really use them or own them

I agree, but the few players that I've noticed using them seem to do so very effectively ...... Mark Knopfler is a prime example.

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

my friend has one of these, he loves it. he used to use a verbzilla.

I kept and still use my Verbzilla...I have a really nice "ambient" setting that gives my guitar sound a nice sense of filling a large space that I Love..

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

Well, looks like Verbzilla has a competitor! Be interesting to see a head to head on these two.

I'll stick with my Holy Grail. But I'm sure either TC/Line 6 would be a nice addition.

I'm always surprised at how few verb pedals are out there.

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

HOF will be my next pedal for sure!

(or a Dispatch Master...lol)

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

Mr Whzy. .what are your favorite settings when you combine the H20 and the HOF?

I leave the echo off, as it tends to mud things up a bit with too much with the extra reverb. For the chorus, I put it on lush with the knobs left to right set to about 10:00, 10:00, 1:00. For the reverb, I set it on church mode with tone a bit bright say 1:00, short pre-delays, decay about 10:00, and the fx level about 10:00 as well.

Give it a shot and adjust to taste. It gives a full sound, with a bit of an eighties clean church vibe. I don't even think I'm making sense right now.

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

No, it makes perfect sense to me, thanks! I never thought of combining a chorus and a reverb. . .it actually sounds like a good idea, within reason. .

Re: NPD: Hall of Fame Reverb

The HoF I purchased takes soo long in the post system. It's probably arrived to the apartment I'm staying in for studies though, but I am still home with my parents these days. So I haven't tested it yet.

But truth to be told, I sold my BSR a couple of weeks ago (I originally wanted to use it with the HoF) and will sell the HoF right away, as I have already bought an Eventide Space... Hoping it will solve my reverb needs..

Pretend for just a second I have no idea what BSR stands for. And yeah, I wouldn't have any second thoughts about going with Eventide or Strymon instead, but they're both quite a bit higher price, aren't they?

It is the blue sky reverb by strymon :-) well, I bought both the bsr and the hof from the us , and selling them in norway makes me go zero when buying the space ;-)
