NPD HX Stomp

Had heard some clips recently that made me curious.

First impressions are very good. In 20 mins I went from not having used the unit to being able to dial in a patch that can replace my bass pedalboard. I may be more picky about guitar and I’ll likely use a pedal or two on top of it but I’m very hopeful.

It is a nice little unit for sure and it does some nice additional things if needed. If you are unhappy with sounds there are third party sounds available out there that are quite good if you are interested in going that route. Must have unit IMO. Hope you enjoy yours!

Happy NPD!

One of the 1st things I did with my HX Stomp was turn off the tuner and use that button for controlling another effect.

Thanks! Yes, I think I’ll do the same.

That looks really cool. Almost like the Helix got wasted on New Years Eve and did it with a Strymon.

Is this really what the power supply looks like?

Yes, it’s huge and ugly. I’m glad you put that picture because I bought it second hand and maybe I was being trolled lol. I’ll use a power supply but it’s pretty weird.

Thank you! I’m quite impressed with the amps (including the Bogner Shiva model) and od. I still need to figure out what role it has in the pedalboard. I’ll check the sounds, thanks!

I use the HX Effects, and I am pretty happy with it. It uses the same adapter, btw.

I attached the giant end of the adapter to an extension cord, wired underneath my pedalboard. The pedalboard itself uses an IEC connector, so I don't have to see the ugly adapter anymore. They should have at least put the 'prongs' of the adapter on a swivel.

I did the same with mine. It's a little goofy but works.

I was planning to power it from my power supply. I am hoping 1A will do it based on what I’ve read online.
