NPD - I'm Your (Dr Boogey) Man

Found a guy building these and selling them on eBay for $80, which is about what the kit would cost from some sellers. It has a skull on it, so I couldn't resist.

I'm currently using it as a preamp running into a virtual power amp and speaker cab on the computer and it absolutely kills. Comparing it to the AMT R1 - it seems to have a little more gain available, AND has a presence knob, so it just may be a little more versatile.

Good price! Can't tell if I like the sound personally. I like an area between clean and dirty, right after breakup. Probably not the pedal for that, but kinda has an early machine head sound in the 2nd video.

That thing's been on my "to build" list for a couple of months... Gotta get a crack at it soon!
