They finally got a shipment of these things at my local rock shop.

Can't really tell you anything about it yet, just walked in the door with it. I'll run it through some paces and see what it's got.

This thing is a blast! Just tap the button and start playing, you have like 5 minutes of play back. Plus, you can pretty much "stack tracks", a couple of times. One button does everything. The knob is just a playback volume.

I'm as happy as a Lucid, in a hen house!

Nice! I'd love to pick one of these up. I mostly use my DD-20 as a looper, but it's getting awkward since I sold my other delay pedal and now I'm using the DD-20 for more delays as well as looping. This would be super convenient for me.

Can't wait to hear any further thoughts you have on it.

My Akai Headrush is great but having 5 minutes of playback is a hUGE improvement... I'm gonna have to buy one of those for sure.

I'm running it in the fx loop of a '96 VHT Pitbull " I like the green channel for my rhythms" , along with a Malekko Ekko 616 delay. With the two, I can do all kinds of stuff. Strange stuff... Stuff I didn't even know I could do.

It is pretty transparent like they claim, but hey, you always loose a little in the signal chain. It is what it is.

As far as bang for the buck goes, Yes! Very cool, reasonably priced unit.

5 minutes of playback is a hUGE improvement..

Don't forget that the Digitech Jamman Express is coming out- slightly bigger, but can use a battery. Double the loop time and stereo. And cheaper.

I feel sorry for all the guys out there trying to sell their Boss RC-2s and other outdated loopers.

How is the quality of Digitech stuff these days? I bought one Digitech pedal back when I was 16 or 17...

Well the Boss and the Ditto are really for 2 different users- and just because a looper is old doesn't mean it is outdated. My Echoplex pro is about 20 years old and there isn't a current looper out there that can touch it. If anything, companies have dumbed down the looping devices because they figure that is all people need.

Can you expand upon that a bit? I want something to help me improve my horrific soloing ability, and I figured the Ditto would be perfect. Lay down four bars of rhythm, loop it, figure out what goes on top. Do I sound like that's the pedal for me?

You can save loops on the Boss. It will quantize the loops if your playing (or pressing) isn't perfect. You can upload loops onto the computer. You have basic drum tracks. You can be battery powered. The Ditto, however, is more like a sampler with overdubs. Both will help you with your soloing, but the Ditto really basic. Both aren't great if you want more control over how you use loops live though.

Just curious... Is the switch for this pedal a soft pressing type (unlatching), or does it click when you press it down?
