It's a 1970/71. It's also an AB763 circuit. At one point I wanted to blackface it so I took it to a tech, we opened it up and lo and behold, it was already a blackface circuit. It had an AB763 tube chart in the cabinet, but CBS used those well after they changed the circuit so I couldn't be sure. It's a killer amp. I need to see about doing some work on the grill cloth. A few months ago I took it apart, gave it a good cleaning, and did some reinforcing of the cabinet. It's worth putting the time into.

I've been on top of the list for a while, but have been unable to pull the trigger. I'm thinking some of this year's tax return is going to go toward my KoT. I've waited long enough.

I’m going to try giving mine an overhaul myself. I think it’s a ‘72. It looks identical to yours, except is says “SUPER REVERB” no AMP. Don’t know if it’s a blackface circuit or not, but it sounds great.

Well I got it in the board in a layout I like and I think I've got some settings that I'm comfortable rolling with for a while. Definitely took me longer to dial in than I expected.

I went back to boost on the left side and OD on the red. Going to give that a shot for a little while and see how I like it

i loved having boosts on both sides but that pushes a LOT of volume to the front end of the amp so usually ran od->boost

That's what I'm figuring out slowly but surely. I am trying to make the FD2 and the KoT play nice together. Especially in using the yellow side of the KoT as a boost for the FD2 tone. I'm getting there but I feel a few weeks of tinkering coming on trying to really feel my way through it. I'm really loving where my pedalboard is. Now if I could just find a different wah pedal I think I'd be set for a while.

I just got on the list myself so I thought this would be a good thread to resurrect. How goes it? Is it still great now that you've gotten over the honeymoon phase?

About a year and a half from now I plan to use it as switched as to be overdrive/hi-gain.

About a year and a half from now I plan to use it as switched as to be overdrive/hi-gain.

It took a lot of getting used to. I have it currently setup as a true distribution and a boost with my Fulldrive pulling overdrive duties.

I still absolutely love the sound. I just am still adjusting.
