The Timmy overdrive have been using for years went missing. After an extensive search picked this up used on Reverb for $75.

Don’t believe it was actually made by aliens in Area 51.
Don’t believe Andertons Klon clone pedal shoot out that it’s #2. Testing at drive 12 and 3 is not a valid test parameters.

It is as close to a Timmy that I could find. Transparent overdrive, the money spent on pickups isn’t ruined.
Liked that it can add a touch of sweet mids, range of overdrive is higher although maxed it starts sounding a little brittle.

Very happy with it but wouldn’t mind if my old Timmy turned up.

By the looks of it guessing it was designed to be another Klon clone. Never heard a Klon up close and personnel so have no idea how close it is.

What I do know is that it does a good job as a replacement for my missing Timmy. Can pretty much dial in the overdrive was getting before.
 
its a klone, and a good one. timmy is my favorite od, and a different thing. sorry about your loss, i had two timmys stolen years ago.
 
Yeah, I was thinking it was more like a Klon than a Timmy, and those don't sound alike, but it would really depend on the settings. If you are happy with it, then cool! But there are also a ton of Timmy clones out there, too.
 
what are the good timmy clones? i had my old v1 and early v2 timmy stolen years ago, so now i have two v2 and a copy a friend made for me right after the theft. they janray is good, but sounds different than my timmys

Agreed, they don’t sound alike. I like the mids this one adds.

Funny thing is I went through that, Telecaster forum and others: The Caline Pure Sky is a component for component and circuit layout exact match for $30! High praises in reviews. Didn’t find one to try out myself so passed.

In the end now glad t have gone for something a little different. Those little changes inspire playing more and of course new discoveries.
