Have wanted the Red Witch for a long time and i had a Zakk OD several years ago but donated it and other pedals to a nephew who was stating guitar and and little. Both pedals like new from a great local seller.

The ZW is basically an SD-1, right? Did MXR tweak anything on the circuit, or just rebox it?

I had a Red Witch delay some time ago, it was a very dark delay, not bad, just wasnt my taste and was replaced with a Carbon Copy.

Now the cool thing aboyt the Red Witch I had is they used a rechargeable built in battery, not sure if this one does or not, but thought that something a lil different

ZW-44 is in the same circuit family as a SD-1. ZW-44 has a harder clip to my ears.
ZW-44 has a really nice crunchy midrange band and plenty of gain. I run with volume up / gain down.
MXR GT-OD has 2 w/a dip switch inside. One circuit is the old ZW-44 circuit. Its not called the Zakk OD because his MXR contract is over.
Zakk still uses the ZW-44 pedal on his board with the pots removed and hardwired in the max position.
