I'm like you I get all anal about my pedals and having them all match. But I think that can bite you in the foot ( no pun intended yeah right LOL).
I recently went to all TC Electronics pedals full size . I use to have Boss Pedals and a GT-100. I got rid of it all to try out the TC's. Honestly I miss a few of My Boss pedal so over the years and kinda wouldn't mind them back.
1) DD-20. I sold that years ago and honestly the best overall Delay pedal I'd ever owned or tried out. I recently had the DD-7 and sold it like a fool. I have the Flashback from TC and it's a great pedal but it's not as good as the DD-7 was. Not to mention the Buffer circuit in the DD-7 is FAR SUPERIOR to the TC's. The TC's I experience High tone loss where the Boss I didn't.
2) CE-20. This chorus is the mother ship of all Chorus at least in my opinion it is. I have currently the Corona Chorus + in Black which is a special edition pedal and as awesome as it is, I don't think it's better then the Boss.
The GT-100 I don't regret at all getting rid of. I've been using the GT's for years and I found it time to go back to pedals. The GT-100 is awesome in so many ways I couldn't even post them all unless I totally took over your thread. But I like having Pedals again as it's fun and you can touch them. It's a strange thing digital multi effects. You have all the same effects but they live inside the GT and you can't just touch them. Some will understand what I'm saying. It's like buying a CD compared to downloading it.
I see you own the NS-2 but I also see your not using it to it's fullest potential. I suggest the following wiring to maximize it. I love that pedal and I still have mine but currently don't use it as I'm messing around with the very nice tc electronics Sentry Noise gate.
GUITAR>>> BOSS NS-2 IN, then SEND to your first OD PEDAL>>>DISTORTION>>> then back to the the NS-2 RETURN, then OUT to the front of your amp or if you run Modulation like your Chorus then to your amp. You insert all your other pedals where you like or I could tell you a good order to use. But I know it's personal and fun to try things so I'm not gonna go there.
now to replace the phaser with a Boss phaser and my all boss compact pedal board will be complete.
