using pedals of the same brand for the sake of being able to make that statement blows my mind.... I've got all different brands on my boards; super affordable to production boutique, to hand made boutique that are hard to find. I get them based on sound, not brand or cost. I've got a few hand made Allston amps that are take offs on Dumble circuits and are on an 18 month waiting list, and I have no shame in having a few Mooer pedals on my board, as they just sound stellar, the tremucopter and orange 90.... I just think it's about sound, not just brand or what it seems like you should have.

I'm going to end up with an almost all EHX board myself except for the wah and compressor. A lot of times many of the pedals are quite interchangeable. e.g. You can have a tubescreamer from any brand.
