Yep i had these laser cut and made to my specs. I will use these as master templates and make others off . That way the originals will always be perfect and the only have to risk the router once.

I have a few options here. Vintage trem, floyd, hardtail, Pickguard, HSS,HS,H,








ANother good option about this is i can always order another one with a different bridge or pickup option. And not to mention the precision of the templates.

I had never seen timber cut with a laser like that. Its Incredible that it can do such a small radius and the plug of wood just pops out after. What i also need is a few standard routes and recess templates for electronics cavities.

When you make copies, if you use Masonite for your copies, what you can do to make them more durable is soak/coat the edges with some thin Cyanoacrylate. It will soak in and make the edges harder, and less apt to mush out. I like to make mine out of Cast Acrylic or Polycarbonate but I have used a lot of Masonite in the past and treating the edges helped tremendously.

thanks for the tips brota. The edges seem to have sealed really well with the laser process but yeah i will do that for sure. I have a few smaller acrylic templates too but they cost so much more to get made..

The CA soaking into the edge basically turns it into a composite, helping to hold the fibers together better and making it harder and more durable.
