new vintage interface day!

Never had a USB interface (except for a griffin imic, which kinda blows), decided to pick up a cheap (i.e., older/vintage) one on the bay (m-audio jamlab). Figure I'll use it with my mac for revalver HP; might try it on my PC laptop for the old jcm900 plugin I miss using (I also miss fretted synth's "freeamp" products). When I used all these previously, I'd record a clean guitar into my fostex, upload the tracks, then process - took forever.

Also picked up one of these (USB camera connector thingy), so I should be able to interface with my ipad (for use of GB app's amps and a few other free amp sims on there):

If they don't work, I'm out about $20 total, so we'll see. Clips (hopefully) to come!

(This all sort of stems from me looking at Line 6 stuff and realizing I have all the digital amps I could ever want/need at my disposal, I just need to be able to tap into them to be able to use them as practice amps/late night jamming)

well, I got the jamlab today - it works just fine, and I said I'd post a clip, so here it is!

Keep in mind I've barely picked up a guitar all summer, which kinda pisses me off how all thumbs I've become. Oh well. I hope to get a bit tighter soon.

I just grabbed a stock 5150 type amp off Revalver and a reverb rack thingy in it (tried a compressor, but kinda took away from the sound). I dig the tone for goofing around, if nothing else. Kinda noisy, but I don't mind noise when I'm making stuff up really.

Mmm hmm it's definitely something simple I'm overlooking. I just need to sit down and commit to effing with it for a few hours.

Have you already posted a help-me thread in tips and clips? Some peeps might have the same setup and can walk you through how theirs is set up.

thanks for checking it out. yeah, that LePou dude knows his stuff, pretty crazy. the lextac didn't seem to do what I thought it would (probably user error), but I'm going to goof with the le456 tonight, see how it is. there was one that I liked on youtube that wasn't available for mac yet, but I forget which one it was (soloC I believe).

eBay seller "emilyandlily" sent the wrong ipad adaptor (said USB, picture had USB hub, but is some dumb card reader). Freakin scam artist selling knockoff junk by the truckload, I should have known. $4 down the drain, oh well. Can't test with my ipad yet.
