NYC Pedalboard is here!

Re: NYC Pedalboard is here!

I have always run a homebrew pedal board...I was tired of the BS, this board is solid as a rock, has killer (butterfly) latches, is built into a case, fully covered in the loop half of velcro, corners, etc...yes I could have built it but it would have taken forever, cost as much if not more and not been as nice.

Here is a pic of mine for anyone interested (gigman model):

It is not current, I've added a Lovepedal Magicboy Vibe and the CE-5 is getting replaced by an Analogman Chorus. But you get the idea ;-)

Question: What keeps the pedals from being knocked about when you put the lid on and carry it around?

I ordered about 6 feet of Velcro from Mike when I ordered the board. The stuff is pretty strong.

Pertinent to my board above:

The Wizard wah has a groud plate retrofit from Stompin Ground.
Right now the DM-3 doesn't have Velcro, since I just ran out.
The velcro is so strong it took the rubber bottom off my AD-9, which I'll probably have to reglue.

So, the pedals are velcro'd to the board, correct?

Ben,
you can order Dual Lock from Mike (dual lock is heavy duty velcro) and it does an amazing job, for pedals that have rubber feet on them (wah pedals, Fulltone pedals, etc) you cna order a small wooden board covered in loop (the same stuff the rest of the board is covered in) that is set up so you can atatch the pedal to the pedal board w/o removing the feet.

I made my own also. No doubt their boards are better built and are easier to transport, but I built mine at because at the time they did not have what I wanted. I was/am using 2 Amps a Marshall and a Fender. Each had its own assortment of pedals that I needed to lay out and be able to switch between them. Me and my friend built my board and it came out great. If I had to do it all over again I would probably talked with them about building one for me.

The second board I made I keep at our practice space. It was basically an old shelf that I used to velcro a few boxes to. It also works well.
