New Year, New Guitar

Picked this up New Year's Day, GC had a nice sale going on.

Digging it, not perfect but really good. Pickups are OK which is a long way from what they used to be in Epi's, Alnico Classic Pros. CTS pots apparently, definitely a better taper than the Alphas. Fairly chunky C shaped neck, the laurel board is fine, fretwork is fine. I buffed the frets up a bit, swapped the bridge for a Gotoh, put on new strings, an old style Ibanez flat top switch tip and I've been playing the hell out of it. Love the vintage burst, I think they've done a really nice job with this Inspired By line.

Well, it is a cool guitar that you can guilt-free upgrade over time if you'd like. Congrats!

Smart move to go to the Kalamazoo headstock, I didn't hate the old one but this is far more appealing and matches up nicely to my Elitist line LP. Gotta put a couple of black screws in that truss rod cover though....
