O.K., Superlead into Hotplate then line out into my JMP....

I want to attenuate my Superlead with my Hotplate into a 4X12 then take the line out from the back of the Hotplate run it into my DD-20 then run it into my JMP on the other side with another 4X12 wet. Dry\wet rig.
Anyone ever try this?
How high do I have to run the signal out pot on the back of the THD?
I run the JMP clean right? Since the signal is already preamped right?
I want to try this for the party on Saturday. Clips will be coming!

I would of though it wouldn't give the best sound into the JMP because its already been effected by the preamp and power amp of the Superlead. If your JMP has an effects loop then I'd try plugging into the effects return.

the idea of that rig is not to overdrive the effects. so using an entire amp as a preamp is actually a good idea, since even with loop the poweramp *will* be overdriven/clipped along with the effects. Atleast one famous player used this to get THE tone.

i think youll get a fine result with that. you want to hit the dd20 with as much signal as it wants, so adjust the out level of the thd so the dd20 is getting a strong signal but not clipping or anything. as far as the volume of the jmp, you are basically using that as a clean amp since your tone is really being generated from the sl into the thd. adjust the jmp volume as you need, to get the spread you want. if you are running the volume pretty high and the amp isnt as crisp as you want, try the 2 input on the jmp
