OCD as a Boost, 18 watt TMB and Chubtone's

JumpMarine

18 watts of Mayhemologist
I'm listing this here as well as the thread about Boutique pedals....

Here's a quick clip to show what the OCD can do as a boost:

Gear Used: Home Built Ironsounds 18 watt TMB head into g12h30/G12m
Strat-Chubtone El Gordo/'63/'63
OCD
Samson CO1 USB mic placed 4 feet away
Ntrack Studio 5.0 to record
Settings:

Amp-Normal Channel, Vol maxed, Tone 4 oclock
Strat-Bridge, vol max, tone rolled back to 6
OCD-Vol maxed, Drive all the way down, Tone in middle, Hi/Lo set to hi

1st part is just amp gain alone then you can hear me click on the OCD

Re: OCD as a Boost, 18 watt TMB and Chubtone's

I always look out for the OCD clips. I think it's a lot of money to spend on a pedal without thorough 'homework', seeing as though I have no real means of trying one.

I quite like this clip, but I feel that the OCD is most impressive when lead parts are played. Great all the same though ;)

Not bad. It's kinda hard to tell how exactly the OCD is affecting anything other than slamming the front end harder. Can you close-mic it and record?

I'll do that later tonight....

Nice tight crunch on that clip. I like that Billy Gibbons style sound.
