This is the typical response for someone who thinks that because we are all small that nothing can possibly happen. You and all like you simply 'buy into' the dictatorship.
However it can be seen from event like Hong Kong that if enough individuals protest, and in a constructive way, that real change or attitude adjustment can occur.

Couldn't agree more. This is the kind of attitude we need more of! I firmly believe that it's not that these actions are too small to induce a change, but rather that there are more than enough silent, yet open throats where companies like these can unload their (bull)**** into...

You get me... change or even a seed of undermining narrative at Gibson about the consumer response would be amazing -but that's best case.

I'm making jokes and pointing out hypocrisy -neither cost much effort or time and if a few people giggle and this world is lighter for a minute -I'm satisfied

Did you hear the story about that one? Gibson sued PRS for their Single Cut Custom being too much like a Les Paul. They lost, so out of spite the released a Double Cut Les Paul that was actually a Santana copy out of spite. Later they did the whole Les Paul Double Cut Modern that was a copy of the Custom 24.

If Gibson wins this, it might trigger Fender to sue companies as well. This can really change the guitar landscape if you think about it.
