Apparently this seller either thinks that OFRs are made in the U.S. or that potential buyers think they are. The picture might be of a real Floyd, but I'm pretty confident that's not what you'd be getting.

So you think that, if the seller had counterfeit Floyds, he'd be selling them for less than that? Maybe if he were copping to it in the ad.

i have tried several gotoh bridges and i disliked it. something to do with the saddles design prevent me to get a confortable right hand position while palm mutting.

The floyd rose original (FRO) is not the same as the original floyd rose (OFR). The FRO is made in korea by Sung Il, same guys who make the floyd rose special and i think the floyd rose 1000. They also make a bunch of wilkinson bridges/trems and some tonepros stuff. The OFR is usa made....or might be made under by schaller in germany alongside their own licensed version. I can't remeber exactly what the deal is. But anyway, sung il makes some pretty decent stuff. Not amaaaaaazing like the gotoh or schaller stuff but better than average.

My Floyds say "Made in Germany" on the bottom of the baseplates. I don't know what the deal is with the "Made in USA" that seems to be stamped on the block in the one photo

The real question is, wherever it came from, Gloyd or Faux, is does it WORK?

Made in the USA, and then sent to a Chinese seller. I dunno about that.

If it's not stamped "Made In Germany", steer clear. That said, the Ping "Floyd" Branded Models are excellent, but, you're better off picking up a used Vintage 80's Screw In Arm OFR as there are always plenty of them on eBay.

I think i found a solution
theres a dealer in chile, and in fact there are 2 DEALERS : 1 for OFR and 1 for Schaller.
The good thing is that i wont pay expensive custom taxes, and the currency will be at my side. Different than , lets say, if i got them in US dollars from usa.
Ill get the from CHILE. from an authorized dealer and they will cost me LESS. lets see.

The last two Schaller nuts on my Ibanez ruined the tone of open G. Sounded like sitar. Killed all harmonics. Schaller might be massive and all, but their machine work is not so accurate as Gotoh. Beware.

FRO or OFR is the same thing, it's just how people call it. The Korean made is Floyd Rose Special. If it comes stock in a guitar, it's called with O-2000 or S-2000 something like that.

I don't think there is an OFR/ FRO that is made in USA, all is German-made by Schaller.
