I have an axe with a VS-100 /Sperzel combo, and it stays in tune almost as well. But it´s less responsive (a more "vintage", strat tremmish feel) ans has a smaller range. I do prefer the tone of a Wilkinson, though. A bit less steely and warmer.
Depending on what you´re planning on doing, both are great systems

one last question. Sre the Schaller units offered on Warmoth's store any good?
I usually stand by floyd stuff cuz it's delivered great performance every time but I'm always open to new stuff.
Heretic said:I really like the Ibanez Edge Pro. For me, it yields a fuller tone than the OFR and I don't have to cut the ball-ends, giving it a string-thru feel.
wixomwhat said:Wait, you have to cut the ball ends off to string a floyd?
Zerberus said:To string ANY true double locking trem you have to do this![]()
Same thing happened when I did that with my Alvarez! You mean just so it doesn't go up, right?RCM78 said:I blocked the trem on one of my Hamer's and unlocked the nut. WOW!!! It's like a new guitar. Resonates just like my stop tail Wolfy...
