Oh god, this is embarrassing, but I'm posting it anyway, lol.

Okay, had my heart crushed and wrote a song. I truly wish I could come up with a kick butt metal song when this happens, but I just seem to produce sappy 70s sounding love songs. Well, here it is. Just crappy drum beats, acoustic 12 tuned to DADGAD and capo'd on the 2nd fret, a cheesy synth and some vocals. I'll probably never finish it so here's what I got so far. The lyrics are all what really happened except that it was me who left the job, not her, and I didn't find her tearing up on the stairs. Gotta have SOME altered truths, right, lol. I'm too old for this poop, haha. For some reason, it is a little slower on the MP3 transfer to soundclick, which makes mistakes and vocal key errors more glaring. When I play the WAV or MP3 on my computer, it sounds right. Anyone know what gives with that?

Sounds good! The vocals/melody have sort of a David Bowie vibe. The timing of the drums gets in the way a bit, but I like it.

Yeah, my computer glitches like nuts, so when you're recording, you hear pffft...and it sounds like you're still in time with the click track, then when you listen back, it's off. I wasn't about to record until I got a perfect take, so I went with the best I could get, lol. I'm complimented by the Bowie comparison. Thanks you.

I can definitely hear the Bowie comparison here. It's a good song, I wouldn't give up on it. Perhaps wait until you can look at it more objectively.

Did you close out all the programs you weren't using before you recorded? I always use task manager to close pretty much everything running on my computer except for the things I need to record. Just closing all the programs doesn't quite do it, there are always a ton of background processes eating up valuable RAM and processing power.

Thank you. I probably will early next year or so.

I don't have any other programs open, but I've never used task manager. I'll try that. It sucks, because this computer never did this. Just getting old I guess. I basically only use this thing for Sonar and to browse. No gaming, nothing.
