Wow...I love Tower Of Power, they are probably growing into my favourite band ever but I can't keep up with the guitarists...which one is this guy?

That is some amazing tone he's getting from that tele...not to mention his fingers of course

Just thought I'd share this fantastic clip with everyone who wants to see it, and would anyone have any idea what kind of gear he's using?

Honestly, I thought that was a pretty generic Tele type of tone. Perhaps it wasn't prevelant enough for me to catch onto what you are talking about? The guitar volume was somewhat low.

Really liked the clip you posted! nice tele solo tones and trumpet parts. (I play the trumpet also...)

Thanks for introducing me to Tower of Power! I'll be sure to pick up some of their stuff, as I honestly love their sound!

I saw Galactica live at the Austin City Limits festival this year, and they were absolutely awesome! We had to leave because wife (pregnant) wasn't feeling so good in the hot sun, but as I was leaving the guitarist had his first "segment" and he was SMOKING!

Every time the lead guitarist comes up to the mic and starts singing it cracks me up! That is one of the funniest things I've ever seen...I love it though! Dunno about tele tone that I like in there but his playing sure was great, and there voices were just flawless!

Yup. Its funny . . . I would never have listened to this music in my younger days, but now that I appreciate good git' pickin', I love stuff like that.
