Oh........My.......God!!

I have no recollection of them coming out with this bass, I've been wanting one of these exact models for years. and years, and years!! Forget the awesomeness of Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley..... Mike Starr has always been one of my favorite bassists of all time. He never did anything special bass wise, but the dude could hold down a groove, put on one hell of a live show, and always had a fantastic bass tone.

I am so happy to see this come into fruition!!

Re: Oh........My.......God!!

I wonder if that's the first ever album cover by a band that just features a picture of the bass player.

Re: Oh........My.......God!!

The only visual difference appears to be the star inlayed into the regular twelfth fret marker and the signature decal stuff on the rear of the headstock.

Individual volume pots rather than Master Vol., Balance.

Limited availability.

Being from the European factory, the instrument should more affordable than a US-made equivalent.

IIRC these were limited to a production run of 30 and came out this Spring; I'd be a bit surprised if anyone still had one at this point. Funkfingers is right that the only differences are the inlay and signature decal. I don't believe white is a Standard option on the Euro 4LX, but it's available as a special order color for a small upcharge. Everything else is standard Euro-4LX and I'd expect them to retail new for around $2100-2400 which is about half (or slightly less) than a USA NS-2 would go for. The NS-2 would have solid maple wings instead of Maple / Walnut / Alder sandwich and would have a HazLab preamp with Vol / Blend / Bass / Treble controls.

If anyone really wants a white / gold Spector I've seen a few of them used over the last year, but the price runs a little high since it's not a common color. A typical Euro 4 runs around $800 used, while unusual colors and some variants (like earlier CRs & CR-FMs) fetch closer to $1200.

Re: Oh........My.......God!!

So he probably got into Spector during the Kramer era. I know alot of people weren't big fans if that area but I thought they were nice basses.

That is actually all of the members' faces imaged over each other.
