Showed up on my porch this AM.

My house (and myself) now smell of fine mahogany.

Lefties need to speak to Jim Duncan over at Southpaw Guitars in TX for schweet lefty guitars.

That would be awesome if it wasnt made backwards... haha.. JK bro!! congrats!! that mahog top too??

Re: Ohh Yeaaahhh NLGD

Very nice! I love Mahogany tops on acoustics, not only do they look beautiful, they sound great, too. Enjoy!

Re: Ohh Yeaaahhh NLGD

Thanks all... ya, mahogany top, sides and bottom.

I named it "Choklit Thunda". Sucker is loud like a cannon. I can't stand the looks
of the typical spruce-top acoustic; so cliched and makes me wanna start a hoe-down
and square dance on bales of hay - no thanks.

Timed the sustain... 30 secs. Incredible! The tone is amazing; almost like having a little grand
piano with frets.

No Dylan here... I'll be getting my Page on, along with various fingerpicking, Celtic stuff and usual noodling.

Steel string acoustic is excellent for keeping those callouses in shape as well as strengthening the fingers.

This is one (D-15M Burst) from Martin's "cheapest" all-wood lineup (the 15 series)... strongly recommended.
Fit and finish perfect and makes Henry J (Gibson) cry in his beer.

I thought I was the only one who thought this... I'd play a pink "Hello Kitty" acoustic before I'd get a yellow spruce colored one...

I'm somewhat in the same camp. I like the tone of Spruce, but I'm not a fan of how it looks with an un-tinted finish. My current acoustic is a burst, and any acoustic I consider in the future would need to be bursted or have some sort of colored finish.

Orange looks nice on acoustics, too... (But I'd way prefer all Mahog if I had the choice)
