What about replacing the neck altogether? If the neck is dead sounding from the 12th fret up, it's likely not worth all the trouble anyways. I don't know about USACG, but Warmoth makes necks with the exact same headstock shape in just aout any configuration you want. $173 US, course I don't know what shipping will run ya to Athens. Either that or get rid of it.

Gotcha, bro, didn't know for sure if that's what you meant. Don't know what to tell you, but it kind of sounds like a get rid of it and get something better scenario to me.

Alright!! Funny how you'll always find another browncoat anywhere you go!! Firefly was the best, NEVER should have been cancelled.

Well Mephis not totally DEAD. It is just not as responsive. MAybe some people wouldnt even think it was dead. It is a minute difference.
I wonder if that has to do with a bad Fret Job.
Looks like im gonna try and sell it again. If it takes too long i will only then consider the new neck reshaping. Ebay sounds like a good place to get rid of it.

the market is small here in Greece so it is a problem selling stuff sometimes.
If i cant then i will look into customizing the neck.
Can a so so neck as this one be 'remade' by a luthier into a great neck?
That is, i dont think that the quality of the maple that Kramer used for this neck is so different than lets say USACG uses on their necks. I think it is the quality of the craftmanship that goes into making it. Is that wrong?
I am trying to sell it. that was the one risk factor in getting a one of a kind guitar like this. I just bought it real real cheap so it doesnt kill me in that way at all.
