OK - I'm jonesing. Let's try the LPB approach!

Ummm - no. But a pedal obscura with a cool name is always in style (as long as it has nothing to do with Steel Panther.

I kid as I know your disdain for the pedal.

What about a harmony pedal like the TC Electronics Quintessence

If you have two amps, try running them in stereo with a vibrato pedal going to just one of them. Creates an incredibly lush sounding chorus.

I have 7 amps in this room ranging from a Mesa Stiletto head to a Crate CA-30 acoustic amp. And no, I am not going to do that.

The Dimension is a cool pedal, but it does what it does the best in stereo. You use it with a mono amp, and you get a cool chorus with little modulation. In stereo, it seems like the sound is coming from all over.
But I would never go stereo using two amps live- I have done it going direct with a Fractal, though.

The professional 4 knob version works well for me! I just avoid the Wank and keep it turned up to Shred.

That's what I've been doing wrong, I've been setting them to "garage", "wank" and "suck", the ego varies by whether I'm alone or around others.

THIS has potential! Always thing about a Sustainor pickup...

I got an Ebow late last year. It's pretty fun. Was also jonesing for a Sustainer setup, until I did enough research to find out that chords don't ring out - one string will eventually overtake the others. I thought it'd be neat to treat the guitar like an organ using a Sustainer pickup, and was all set to buy a guitar just to do this. But it doesn't work that way. So, I got an Ebow. $100 later and I can use it with any of my guitars. With some delay it's really stinking cool. Keep a volume pedal handy too - the Ebow is MUCH louder than you can play with a pick. There's all kinds of different techniques you can do with it as well for when you feel like you've "mastered" one or another.

Yeahhhh this is a cool trick too. Dual ampage. So many tonal possibilities by running different FX to each one, or even just EQing them differently. Or not - just being able to pair two different speakers, or pair two speakers and turn them or move them around in space is super cool too. 3D tones.

I find that sometimes a little "garage" and "suck" will give you that raw, recorded live in a garage or dive bar tone. Still, I keep the "shred" turned up so I sound like a shredder who could wank but not a true wanker. You're spot on with your use of the "ego" control!

i dont really have a chorus pedal but i have a rotosphere and i put one amp on top of the other and it sounds sooo good
